I am just an ordinary man who loves to meet people and provide a valuable service for reasonable fees. I fell in love with carpet, upholstery, and tile cleaning years ago when I was introduced to it after I graduated from high school (1979). I went to work as a cleaning trainee and soon became a “crew chief.” This meant I was the main man in people’s homes. I learned those many years ago that EVERY cleaning company focused on “up-sales” and “add-ons.” This meant that cleaning carpets wasn’t the priority of the company … making big money was!
Managers wanted their crew chiefs to add additional services and products to every ticket. I was dedicated to getting my customer’s carpets, tile, and upholstery as clean as possible. After all, they were paying for a professional service so I wanted to provide it. But my managers weren’t impressed that I did a great job. No, they were disappointed in me that I just couldn’t bring myself to sell a customer something I didn’t think they needed. I soon decided that I should be sharing my approach within my own company. That’s when Kleaneasy was born.
There are indeed great add-on products in this industry. There are times when I will suggest them. But I will do so ONLY if it will help you, the customer. I will NEVER sell anything for the sake a making a few extra bucks. I believe that money will take care of itself if I first take care of my clients and customers. It’s as simple as that.
My prices aren’t the lowest. I can’t provide the quality service using low-grade and inferior products. So, I need to afford to use the finest cleaning products in the industry. BUT, my prices are not the highest by FAR. I leave the ridiculous prices to the national franchises and those cleaners who are driven by profits more than service.
