You know how people fear that taxes, probate court costs and attorneys fees will take all their assets and leave nothing for spouse or children? Or that their minor children will be raised by the last person they’d ever choose?
I’m attorney Tanya Hendrix and I help clients alleviate those fears and achieve their estate planning goals. I will listen to you and work with you to develop the best legal strategy to accomplish your goals.
In my own family, I’ve seen the financial and emotional cost of someone dying without a Will. After a loved one died unexpectedly and much too young, I watched my grandmother and mother spend countless hours managing his estate, spend thousands of dollars, and get buried under the weight of the extra and unnecessary stress and worry over all the probate and estate matters, when they should have just been grieving his loss.
A 2001 graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law, I have been a prosecutor, criminal defense attorney, family law attorney, mediator, and estate planning attorney. I can draw from that wealth of experience to talk legal strategies with clients to determine what’s best, whether it includes the three major components of every estate plan, that being the Last Will & Testament, Power of Attorney, and Advance Directive for Health Care, or if more documents are needed.
I provide estate planning services, estate administration, and small business start up consultations. I also prepare prenuptial agreements and uncontested divorces.
